It’s been a hell of a journey but it’s exactly where we want to be. Lots of mistakes were made. But every year brings lessons learned, challenges and lots of triumphs. We will continue to learn and grow, and we will keep having fun doing it. I am so proud of how far Maíz has come. Maíz is NOT going anywhere, This dream is very much on the come up!

My name is Maria Rangel, a Colorado native, raised by my father, who instilled in me a deep love for cooking. I grew up savoring dishes smothered in rich red chile or pork green chili. Maiz was created to share the love of gorditas and comfort foods with others.
